More than 10 million people are now using a 'Europass' online Curriculum Vitae to help them find a job, according to the latest figures compiled by the European Commission. By offering a standardised CV template, available in 26 languages, Europass helps jobseekers to market their knowledge and skills in a user-friendly way to employers all over Europe and beyond. Almost half of Europass users are under the age of 25.

The goal of the Vill@ge project (Virtual Language Learning through Edutainment Activities) is to set-up a virtual reality language learning network for primary school children and higher education students throughout Europe. The language learning network consists of a central node and three VR pilot sites in the U.K., Greece and Hungary.

ELLiE is a transnational, longitudinal study of the introduction of second/foreign language learning in primary school classrooms in seven European countries. The study has been set up in response to the rapid expansion of provision for early languages learning that has recently occurred in Europe and many other parts of the world.

The Intergovernmental Language Policy Forum about took place in Geneva (Switzerland) on 2-4 November 2010. It was organised on the initiative of the Council of Europe’s Language Policy Division (LPD) and at the invitation of the Swiss authorities represented by the State Secretariat for Education and Research and the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Directors of Education. FILTA - Film in Language Teaching Association - is an association of language teachers, film educators and researchers, which provides a forum for the exchange of information (materials, events, resources, research) related to the use of film in language teaching.
