Join REAL today – but what’s in it for me?
There is strength in numbers; together we can share our experiences and help each other, giving our members access to a whole new European dimension in their work.
Just another association? No. We’re different…
REAL represents associations of all different sizes and of all different languages based in Europe. From French to Finnish, Polish to Portuguese, associations of professionals teaching any of the 23 official languages - as well as languages from outside Europe - are welcome to get involved.
With membership starting at just €10, joining us needn’t break the bank.
Every association pays a fee according to its number of members and the purchasing power of its country: we believe that no association should be left out on financial grounds.
What do I get?
Here are just some of the benefits we offer:
- Promote your associations’ activities by posting articles on our website;
- Access online resources for association leaders and language teachers;
- Get discounted delegate rates at our future European seminars;
- Receive our regular newsletter;
- Contribute to position papers on European and member state linguistic policy;
- Get special discounts on REAL Corporate member resources.
Not a language teacher association? Not a problem.
We welcome associate membership from other organisations and associations actively involved in language learning and teaching. Corporate membership status is also possible for relevant companies interested in supporting the work of language teachers.
Need more convincing? Here’s what people have said about our events:
“I found out about lots of interesting things. I got new ideas for my association which I hadn’t thought about before.”
“I discovered loads of ways of working with the class. It was great. Very competent facilitators. The idea of bringing together teachers of different foreign language is very worthwhile. It enabled me to compare different ideas I had in this area which I’m now going to use in my work.”
“An amazing opportunity to meet interesting people from all over Europe. The topic of the seminar sparked off a lot of debate and is very relevant. As of today, I feel a lot more professional in this area and will certainly use some of the techniques in my teaching.”
