Čeština pro cizince - Czech for Foreigners

The website provides information on how to prepare for the examination (you can take a sample test), its rules are and where the examination can be taken (the list of schools are listed according to regions). The website also includes an overview of the schools which prepare candidates for the examination. Further useful links about how to obtain a permanent residence permit or vouchers to sit the exam for free are also provided.

All the texts are in Czech and in English with selected information also in French, Russian, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Mongolian and Arabic. The Research Institute of Education has also produced information flyers in several language versions.

Teachers and Examiners

The Czech for Foreigners website also provides methodology for Teaching Czech to teachers and examiners. The Czech Research Institute of Education distributed this methodology (on a CD) at no charge to all schools authorised to examine Czech for foreigners and organises training for Czech teachers.
