This training program is designed for all teachers, principals and educational supervisors of elementary education or special education in Flanders (Belgium).
The conference ‘Languages of the Wider World’: Understanding Resilience and Shift in Regional and Minority languages will take place in Leeuwarden (Netherlands) on 7-8 April 2011.
The Multilingual Early Language Transmission (MELT) Project is a partnership between four language communities – Breton in Brittany, the Frisian language in Friesland, the Swedish language community in Finland, and the Welsh language in Wales. The Project is funded by the European Commission, and will run between 01 November 2009 and 31 October 2011.
The Colloquium will take place at the Meertens Instituut in Amsterdam (Netherlands) on 30 November 2010 and is organized to mark the end of the project 'Early Child Bilingualism: Bilingual first language acquisition or child second language acquisition?'. This project is part of the international NWO-program ‘Language Acquisition and Multilingualism’.
The EMLAR VII Symposium will take place at the Universiteit Utrecht (Netherlands) on 2-4 February 2011. It will offer lectures and hands-on sessions on practical aspects of language acquisition research.
As part of the EUNoM project the Mercator Research Centre will organise a symposium on 18-19 November 2010 in Leeuwarden (Netherlands), called "Higher Education and Research on Multilingualism: Challenge or Opportunity?"
