Nordand 10: Conference on Nordic languages as a second and foreign language, Reykjavík (Iceland)

The tenth conference on the Nordic languages as second and foreign language will take place on 25-28 May 2011 in Reykjavík (Iceland). The conference has three main themes: Complexity, Motivation and Output in Language Learning (including teaching and learning vocabulary, as well as CALL in language learning).

In Iceland more students choose Spanish rather than French as an elective course in high school

The number of students who choose Spanish as an elective course in high school in Iceland is increasing and is now exceeding French. Moreover the language of Cervantes is the only elective language that continues to gain popularity in this country.
