The Disabled Access Friendly campaign aims to sensitise students to issues affecting people with mobility disability. Its reaches people through the teaching of English as a foreign language. The website provides teachers with free teaching material that can be used in class, for projects or examination practice, but at the same time stimulates students to put themselves in the shoes of someone with a mobility/disability, for a better understanding of their needs and feelings.

The international MIRACLE consortium "Migrants and Refugees -- A Challenge for Learning in European Schools" has designed a training course for elementary school teachers working in a multicultural class environment entitled "Civic-Cross-Cultural-Competences - A Practical Approach".
A new website dedicated to the European language portfolio has been launched last 26 September. The European Language Portfolio (ELP) was developed by the Language Policy Division of the Council of Europe.
The EPG project is co-funded by the French national agency 2E2F. It is being developed by a consortium of 11 European partners and led by CIEP (24 month /2011-2013). The aim of the project is to help improve the quality and effectiveness of language training by providing an instrument that will improve competences and aid the supply and mobility of language teachers.
The Network to Promote Linguistic Diversity (NPLD) and the Welsh television channel S4C are holding a joint conference, entitled ‘European Cooperation for Regional Language Broadcasting’. The conference will be held in Cardiff, Wales on 8th-9th December 2011.

Sorosoro is an Araki word meaning “breathe, speech, language”. The Sorosoro programme intends to take an active part in the fight for the maintenance and revitalisation of endangered languages.
