Challenging Mindsets: Breaking down Barriers in Glasgow (UK)

The SCILT National Conference "Challenging Mindsets: Breaking down Barriers - Promoting and enhancing language learning in Scotland through partnerships between education, business and wider society" will take place on 8 June 2011 in Glasgow (UK).

The conference will include keynotes, a panel discussion with representatives from Business and Industry, FE/HE, the voluntary sector and the Arts as well as a parent representative.

A small number of examples of partnership working which have shown to be beneficial to all involved will be showcased.

The Conference aims to demonstrate that when schools work with external partners from across the sectors, language learning becomes much more meaningful and relevant to our young people.
