For the first time « Le Gallophile », an international festival of French and Francophone short films for pupils, students and professionals from the film industry, will take place in Vaslui (Romania) and in Roquetas del Mar (Spain), from 23 May to 1 June 2011. It will include the Romanian film selection for Festimaj 2011.

The conference will take place in Vilnius on 20-21 May 2011. It will continue the aims of the previous four LKPA conferences: to bring together language teachers working in different educational institutions in Lithuania and abroad, professionals, stakeholders and language policymakers to discuss important issues in language learning, teaching and research so as to promote the exchange of ideas and viewpoints.

The Association for Language Learning, based in the UK, is submitting a proposal to the Lifelong Learning Programme (Grundtvig) for the ‘LangAge’ project. This project will provide toolkits for facilitators in self-organised groups (study circles) to support inspiring language learning for older learners.

Creativity in MFL is one of the strands of the UK's National Curriculum. This talk aims to present a large number of ideas for using language creatively at all levels up to GCSE and beyond and to show how they can be integrated into a scheme of work. This event will take place on 15 February 2011 in Manchester, UK.

The 9th ELTA IATEFL Conference 'Teaching-learning-assessing: strenghtening the links' will take place on 8-9 April 2011 in Novi Sad (Serbia). It aims to bring together practising teachers, methodologists, researchers, students and all those interested in exploring the fields of teaching, learning and assessing, as well as the relations between them. Over two days, the conference attendees will have an opportunity to attend a number of plenary presentations and workshops.

(The Romanian Association of Teachers of English), M.A.T.E., altogether with the other three associations (B.E.T.A., C.E.T.A. & T.E.T.A.), organises every four years the national conference IATEFL Romania, which gathers specialists from the field of English (teachers, trainers, writers, methodologists) from all over Europe.
