About REAL

The REAL2 project was a EU-funded initiative, running from 2009 to 2011, to create a dynamic umbrella organisation of European language teacher associations. REAL stands for “Réseau européen des associations de professeurs de langues” in French, or the European Network of Language Teacher Associations in English.

The REAL network is an umbrella organisation whose objective is to represent and bring together associations of language teachers from across Europe. We aim to represent the hundreds of language teachers associations in Europe and the countries participating in the EU’s Lifelong Learning Programme.
